This is the ambulance type we recommend for urgent-but-stable transfers: moving a patient from a clinic to a hospital for further evaluation, an inter-facility transfer where the patient's condition is controlled, or any situation where basic support and quick escalation capability matter more than intensive intervention.
BLS ambulances carry a trained attendant alongside the driver, capable of basic first aid, oxygen administration, and monitoring — enough to keep a stable patient safe and comfortable, with escalation available if needed.
